Cavity Wall Insulation Will Reduce Your Energy Bills

Most homes built since 1935 were built with a cavity wall construction. This means there is a gap between the two layers that make up the walls.

If you have not checked your insulation then chances are that you do not have cavity wall insulation, in fact, you may not have any insulation at all!! This is why 35% of all your heat is being lost through walls, and a further 25% through lofts.

Do something about cavity wall insulation now and start saving money as soon as it's installed! You are literally throwing hundreds of pounds away every year!

You can NOW bring your home up to the very latest specification for very little, and in some cases for FREE.

Being properly insulated includes both cavity wall and loft insulation.

Some benefits of cavity wall insulation

Cavity Wall Insulation - Is Your Property Suitable?

Cavity Wall Insulation from Green Puzzle

The main point to consider is whether your walls actually have a cavity. In general, if your home was built after 1935 using traditional brick construction, then a cavity should be present. You can check for yourself by making sure the walls are at least 10" thick and no 'brick ends' are present.

Cavity Insulation may not be possible if:

 * There is no cavity, your wall are less than 10" thick
 * Timber or steel frame construction
 * The cavity is already filled
 * The walls are damp
 * The brick work is in poor condition
 * The cavity width is less than 50mm
 * The cavity is obstructed
